DO U HAV ANY NEW SHOES !!!

Nike’s newest star, Lil’ Dez, who was transformed into a superstar over night by playing a prominent role in the Nike MVPuppets commercials that aired throughout this year’s NBA Playoffs, has been utilized on a new pair of Nike Big Nike Quickstrike sneakers along with a matching t-shirt. The sneakers will hit select Nike Urban retailers soon and features a Sport Red upper with hints of Varsity Purple. A Lil’ Dez graphic is featured on the shoe’s tongue and insoles. On the heel of the shoe Lil’ Dez’s name is written in block letters while on the lateral collar of both shoes “Congrats Kobe” is written. Look for these to be released in the coming weeks.

GUCCI GUCCI GUCCI GUCCI

When Nike SB worked with Nick Tershay and Sam Smyyth of Diamond Supply Co. and Girl Skateboards respetively back in 2004 on their Team Manager series of Nike SB Dunk’s, only one pair of the two made it to retail. The one that never made it to retail was deemed the “Gucci” Dunk while the colors actually came from Smyth’s nickname, RESN, which stands for Red for Fire, Green for Weed, and Black for “RESN”. While only a few pairs of the Nike x RESN “Gucci” Dunk sample’s made it out of Nike, Nike SB will be releasing these as a part of their Holiday 2009 Collection. To commemorate the release, Diamond Supply Co. and RESN worked together to create this Lester Diamond “Gucci” t-shirt that will drop around the same time as the Nike SB Dunk in the US. via CtotheJL

KID CUDI X BAPE RELEASE PARTY

If you haven't heard of Kid Cudi by now you may be forced to hook up that rock you're living under with an ample sound system. Kid Cudi's highly-anticipated debut album "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" hits shelves and digital music stores next Tuesday, September 15th and Cudi's favorite clothing line (and former employer), Bape, has honored his meteoric rise with a tee of his very own. The launch of the tee was marked with a in-store signing session at Bape's NYC location by the man himself. Hundreds of fans came out shutting down the Soho block and filling the streets with the deafening buzz which surrounds the future superstar. StreetLevel was in the midst of the action to capture the moment

With all the festivities going on last night at SoHo, none was wilder than Kid Cudi’s private listening party at BAPE New York. Close to 600 people waited along Greene Street for the opportunity to meet the Hip-Hop star despite a light rain. The line-up continued into the store, where Kid Cudi cordially welcome each fan. Within the first 2 hours, the exclusive BAPE - Baby Milo x Kid Cudi tees were sold out. After a private party on BAPE’s 2nd floor, pandemonium really set in around 9 pm when Kid Cudi decided to make a “mad dash” sprint towards BBC | Ice Cream 3 blocks away for a meeting with Pharrell. In an instant, the streets of SoHo were filled with hundreds of fans, onlookers, and media personnel. At BBC, where rapper Jadakiss later joined the party, a chaotic scene ensued that even the NYPD had a difficult time managing the crowd. With the end of Fashion’s Night Out event approaching at 11 pm. Kid Cudi upped the ante one last time with another mad dash, this time back to BAPE for a brief rest.

BAPE PIRATE STORE GRAND OPENING (ARGGGGG!!!)

As expected, one stretch of Lafayette Street in SoHo became a temporary bazaar as both Pirate Store and Supreme NYC opened their doors this morning. Hundreds crowded along the sidewalk, with some even waited overnight, just for the opportunity to purchase rare merchandises. Crowd also used this opportunity to exchange information on release date on upcoming items. Finally, at 11:30 am, the doors swung open. Groups of 5-10 were let in at one time to avoid pandemonium. But even the best organization in the world can’t quell the fans’ anticipation. As stated previously, all items in the BAPE Pirate Store are marked down to 50% off the original price. For those lucky few who arrived early this morning, selected samples discounted to 70% off. This temporary store will exist till Monday of this week. So if you’re in the Big Apple for Labor Day Holiday Weekend, be sure to stop by.

LOUIS VUITTON x SKATE BOARD

SO SO DOOOOOOOOOOOOPE!!!
BUT FOR A WHOPING $10,000, ITS A LITTLE OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE!!
VIA:HYPEBEAST
NEW YORK — Like the artist and designer who inspired the new collection, Louis Vuitton is heading downtown for its new Stephen Sprouse collection.

This week, the company’s boutique on SoHo’s Greene Street will be transformed into a Sprouse destination in time for the collection’s arrival.

“SoHo is a special place for the entire launch of the Sprouse collection,” said Daniel Lalonde, Louis Vuitton North America president and chief executive officer. “It’s in the proximity of where Stephen Sprouse hung out, so we are going to give the entire store a Stephen Sprouse feel. It will have a lot of reminders of Stephen Sprouse. We will be giving it a new identity.”

For instance, the company is wrapping the store in vinyl and spray painting neon graffiti all over the facade. The window display will feature a 6-foot neon light installation in Sprouse’s Rose motif. The store’s interior, enhanced with black brick wall facing, will also be sprayed with the neon graffiti.

The collection will launch in its entirety at the SoHo boutique on Thursday. The complete worldwide launch will follow on Feb. 2, though the Rose pieces will be available at Louis Vuitton stores worldwide starting Friday.

For the launch, the luxury goods company is also creating two limited edition pieces, which will only be available at the SoHo location: a Stephen Sprouse graffiti skateboard replete with a hard case monogram skateboard trunk, and a Stephen Sprouse “Roses” T-shirt. The company hopes to sell three graffiti skateboards with trunks for $8,250 each, and 70 T-shirts for $250 each. “I don’t expect them to last very long,” Lalonde said. “By Friday, there probably won’t be any more left.”

Proceeds will benefit Free Arts NYC, which provides underserved children throughout New York City with special arts programs. Vuitton is also making an undisclosed donation to the Sprouse Estate, as well as the Stephen Sprouse Memorial Scholarship Fund at the National Academy for Design here.

Sprouse became known in the Eighties for his graffiti art and fashion designs. In 2001, Vuitton artistic director Marc Jacobs collaborated with Sprouse and created an instant must-have accessories collection with the Monogram Graffiti collection. Sprouse died in 2004, and Vuitton made its first donation to the fund in 2006 when Jacobs created a scarf in Sprouse’s honor, using one of the collaboration’s leopard prints.

Vuitton will honor the late artist with three events this Thursday. The night will kick off with cocktails at the Vuitton boutique on Greene Street, with a simultaneous event at nearby Deitch Projects’ Wooster Street Gallery for the opening of the “Rock on Mars” Sprouse retrospective. Afterwards, Vuitton and Jacobs will host a bash at the Bowery Ballroom, featuring a performance by Sprouse’s friend Debbie Harry, followed by DJ Jus Ske. The venue is expected to have a Sprouse feel, with a special graffiti-and-neon decor.

“It’s something new from Vuitton to start the year off,” Lalonde said of the collection. “The product, design, and expression are uplifting and rejuvenating. That’s the feel we try to provide for the evening and for the collection.
